Connor stared at the work he'd been doing for Philip. Remembering how April had always urged him on as he'd blindly followed Philip's instructions.

How could he have been so stupid?

He shivered and pulled his waistcoat tighter. His gaze unfocused as he wondered if Philip could have been responsible for James' disappearance.

Connor shook his head, moaning when his vision blurred. He didn't know. But he did know, no matter how long it took, he would find James.

He would search for James to the ends of the earth and beyond, though all of time and space if necessary.
