Connor bent over his new creation and bit his lip as he carefully soldered a wire into place. He smiled, proud of his work and certain Philip would be too.

He looked up and smiled when Philip entered. A smile that faded as Connor noticed Philip's lip curl in distaste before the man asked, “Is it meant to look like that?”

Connor glanced at his machine. He would be the first to agree it didn't look sexy or sleek, but... Philip sounded so dismissive of his hard work.

James wouldn't have. He would have supported Connor unconditionally.

Abby was right.
