James woke, heart pounding as the nightmare slowly faded. He glanced around the room and his gaze fell on the IV drip. James realised he had maybe only moments of clarity before the drug dragged him back into confused slumber.

Sweat beaded his brow as he tried to move, pain lancing through his body but he forced himself to ignore it. This might be his only chance to escape wherever he was and he wasn't going to let a bit of pain stop him.

Helen's words – from nightmare or reality – drove him on. He needed to save Connor.
