A/N: For the P100 challenge 252: Cliffhanger. Set in my Under The Moonlight wolfverse and sequel to Meeting The Past. Thanks go to the wonderful Fred for looking at it for me.


“Guys?” The fear in Connor's voice had James and Nick spinning around.

“Fuck!” James took a step forward until he stood protectively in front of Nick. He let his lip curl and a low warning growl rumble from his throat.

James' growl grew louder when the hunters holding Connor tightened their grip and Connor squeaked as the sharp edge of a stone knife pressed against his throat.

“Any bright ideas, Professor?” James' voice was low and guttural, the wolf just beneath the surface.

When Connor was dragged away and a hunter beckoned them, Nick nodded, “They want us to follow.”
