Title: Hope
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: Connor Temple, Hilary Becker.
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For the P100 challenge 248: Shattered. Part of my Making An Impression drabble series and follows Differences. Angsty. Hugs for Fred for looking it over and paw holding.
Connor's nerves were stretched almost to breaking point as he waited for Becker and his men to check James' flat. He heard the all clear over his bodyguard's radio and raced inside, desperate to hold James in his arms.
The flat was a mess. A vase lay shattered on the floor. Everywhere Connor looked he saw signs of a struggle. He looked at Becker, hoping... while it was unlikely that Becker was about to pull James out of hiding like a magician with a rabbit.
Connor's knees buckled and sent him painfully to the floor when he spotted the blood.
