Title: To The Rescue
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: James Lester, Charlotte Cameron, Ethan Dobrowski
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For the P100 challenge 248: Shattered. Part of my Dreams Of Yesterday drabble series and companion to Earning Respect and Playing The Outsider.
James' head shot up as a scream shattered the air. He was running towards it almost before the sound died. He knew he was risking his carefully constructed cover, but he couldn't ignore someone in danger.
He swore at the sight of a raptor chasing Charlotte and gaining on her far too rapidly. With no time to find a weapon, James waved his arms and charged the creature with a yell. He was relieved when it turned tail and ran, obviously not expecting an attack.
James turned to meet the calculating gaze of Ethan, before he nodded and hugged Charlotte.
