A/N: For the Denial Teamfest drabble tree challenge for Leek and the prompt: cruel.
Oliver Leek smirked for a moment. It was so easy to manipulate people when they underestimated and belittled him. But they would all live – or probably die – regretting their cruel treatment of him.
Leek had spent years being overlooked, his talents ignored and others taking the praise for his work. Now Helen Cutter had provided him the opportunity to strike back. She might think she was running things, and Leek was quite happy to let her... for now.
But Lester's reaction just before he died would be the best, when he finally realised Leek was the better man.
