Primeval fic: Feeling Alive

Title: Feeling Alive

Author: knitekat

Word Count: 100

Characters: Stephen Hart

Rating: 15

Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.

AN: Thanks to Luka for the beta. An attempt at writing Stephen.

Stephen peers around the corner, grinning as he thinks about what he is about to do.

He steps into view, raising his arms and yelling to attract its attention.

When it snarls and charges after him, Stephen races off to lead this last creature into the trap set for it.

For Stephen knows this is the only time he truly feels alive; when his heart is racing, his blood pounding, adrenaline coursing through his body. Danger calls to him like a drug, and even though he knows it could eventually kill him, he still can't give up its siren call.

Love your attempt had writing Stephen:)

I may not be able to be impartial(Stephen is my favorite pretty boy). But love your version as Stephen as a adreneline junkie:)

I can certainly see him thinking like that - there are at least a few times in the show where he gives a grin despite the danger (him hunting the scorpion at the beach springs immediately to mind).

Oh yes, this is very Stephen. And I can imagine that this attitude only gets worse when he's feeling ostracised in S2...

Great idea of Stephen as an adrenaline junkie. But the guy needs urgently therapy before it kills him.
Oh....
Good we're in denial.;)

I can definitely see Stephen as an adrenaline junkie.

I'm actually scarily like Stephen in his adrenalin junkie-ness. Good thing I don't have access to dangerous creatures then! hehe

I think this totally nails Stephen -- and I think it explains a lot of his behaviour, especially in S2.

Yes, that works really well :)

Very Stephen!

Thanks, thought it was about time I tried to write for a few more characters. Glad you liked it.

Thanks, there are def. a few times he does seem to almost leap into danger for the 'fun' of it.

Thanks, glad it worked. I agree, without the team to hold him back, that attitude could get worse.

Thanks, he does come across as being a little too keen to leap in dangerous situations.

Thanks for reading, and good to know that it works.

Thanks and thanks again for the beta. This has been sitting on my PC for a while as I wondered if I had nailed the charater.

Thanks, good to know you think it works. He's a bit like this even in the 1st ep with the gorgonopsid (?).

Nice look in Stephen's head :-) I can easily see him thriving on danger and adrenalin, and the anomaly project is a perfect place to get both.

Thanks for reading. Running away from dinos would certainly provide Stephen with his danger-fix.
