Abby kept an eye on James as she fed the wolf cub. She knew his recent atypical behaviour was due to being away from his children, although she wondered if the day he'd blown up had been special to him and his wife.

She knew how it felt to lose hope of returning home, the dull ache in her heart when she'd believed she and Connor were lost forever in the Cretaceous.

Well, Abby wasn't going to let James fall into that darkness. They'd made it this far together, she'd just have to convince James they would make it home.

It can't be easy to keep someone else's spirits up when you're also in a tough situation so I like what Abby is doing here and her determination to help Lester.
