Primeval drabble: It Is The Only Way

Title: It Is The Only Way
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: James Lester, Connor Temple
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For the P100 challenge 224: Why Didn't You Tell Me? Part of my Making An Impression drabble series and sequel to What Have You Done Now? Thanks to Fred for looking at it for me.

James quirked an eyebrow as Connor played with his food. “Connor?”

“Philip offered me a job.” Connor swallowed and looked down at his plate. “I accepted last week.”

“You did what?” James closed the distance between them in a few steps, his hands dragging Connor to his feet. “Why?” He shook his head and released Connor, stepping back and folding his arms. “Why didn't you tell me? I thought...”

Connor cut his words off with a kiss. “I do, but we need to know what he's up to. This is the only way.”

“No. It's too dangerous.”

“I'll be careful.”

I just realised that my drabble has the same characters discussing the same issue. I didn't mean to be inspired in a plagiarism way. Sorry about that.

I don't see the problem, it is a cannon event and the boys plotting over it is would make sense.

Thanks for being understanding.

That's OK. *pokes for you to post it*

It's been and gone. I deleted it after I got the reply back to my comment on your drabble. I won't repost but I'll know better for next time.

As a relatively recent convert to the Primeval fandom I didn't want to be that new person who waltzes in and upsets someone. It's such a lovely fandom.

*pouts* Thinking about it, I'm pretty sure I read it and commented on it, so I obviously didn't think it was a problem when I read it (and don't now). So I see no problem if you want to re-post it.

Don't worry, I think we are fairly hard to upset. At least, I am ;) It is a brilliant fandom!

Thanks, everyone I've 'spoken' to seems very nice and supportive. There seems to be a lot of love for OCs and a wide range of characters written about.

They are, I remember how nervous I was when I first started posting and I had lots of paw-holding (still do). The OCs are great too and can be borrowed ;) and it is good that we have such a choice of characters to read about. *hugs*
