“Cutter!”

Lester sighed as Nick slowly looked up. He wasn't paid nearly enough to attempt counselling on one Professor Nicholas Cutter.

On the other hand, no one else was willing to try.

“Hart made his own choices, Cutter. Don't lessen his sacrifice by getting yourself killed.”

Nick's face flushed with anger, “I ...”

“You recklessly charged in to a dangerous situation without waiting for backup.”

For a moment, Lester thought he might just have got through to the insufferable man.

“I didn't.”

Or maybe not. Just what would it take to get through to him?

Lester definitely has his hands full in trying to bring sense to Nick Cutter. I feel for them both though because Nick has suffered a great loss and Lester is trying to make sure that no one else has to be a sacrifice. Great writing!

A dinosaur has probably to beat some sense in Cutter before he realises his reckless behaviour.
Or he just needs someone who lends him a sympathetic ear and eventually provides shoulder to lean on. *hint hint*;)

Getting Nick to see sense is a huge task. Lester is someone who might be able to do it though. Well done :)

A very large mallet? *g* Well done to Lester for trying, though it's an uphill struggle.

I don't envy anyone trying to get through to Nick! Lester's probably got the best chance . . . And it's a great drabble.

Good for Lester! Although I sense he's got an uphill struggle on his hands here...

Nick certainly can't have been an easy man to manage! Lester has my sympathy.

The Lester-Nick exchanges are spot on! This is my favourite line

He wasn't paid nearly enough to attempt counselling on one Professor Nicholas Cutter.

That is totally something Lester would think :)
