The ADD's alarm cut through the atrium and had Connor dashing over to check the location. It died as he began to narrow it down.

Five minutes later, it screamed again. And again.

James rolled his eyes and turned to Abby. “Stop worrying about me and worry about your boyfriend instead.”

“James?”

“Tell him to fix the problem or I'll fix him.”

Abby snorted and rolled her eyes at him. “Fine. I'll leave you alone.” When James relaxed, she added, “For now. You need to talk, James.”

“Abby.”

“Please, James. Talking will make it better. I promise you.”

“Fine. Now, go.”
