James took a deep breath, he needed to do this before he lost his nerve. “Mother. Father. I have something to tell you.”

“Don't tell me Samantha can't come, James. I've been looking forward to meeting her.”

James shuffled his feet. “Sam isn't short for Samantha, mother.”

“Oh? What is it short for?”

“Samuel.”

“What!” She stared wide-eyed at James.

“Samuel? Another man?” James' father looked so disappointed and disgusted. “You're a bloody snapper.”

“Father. I'm still...”

His father pointedly turned his back. “You're no son of mine. Get out.”

James is at University at this point of the wolfverse, so it really did hurt him. *pets poor James* Um... I think that comes up in a later fic...

It does... poor James is at Uni at this point of the wolfverse, so he's not developed his 'thick skin' at this point. Not that it would suck any less if he'd been older. Thanks for reading and for the beta.
