James paused outside the conference room and considered the disaster yet to come – both from the meeting and the reason for it.
“You’re late, guv.”
“Thank you for that statement of the blindingly obvious, Quinn.” James took a deep breath and dispensed an equal opportunity glare. “The minister’s had an idea.”
“Oh fuck!”
“Precisely. The Bake Off Anomaly Special gained more viewers than most.”
“James?”
“Are we doing another special?”
“Worse, Temple, we are doing a series.”
“How cool is that? Back by popular demand!”
“Yes, well maybe you and Quinn can learn to follow a recipe before filming starts.”
