James had been dispatched to his father’s old boarding school, his father’s last words that it would be the making of him.
Having seen what it had done to his cold and distant father, James vowed he would never be like him.
Yet when he’d emerged, he was just like his father – a workaholic with control issues, a need for everything to be correct and problems with relationships.
Maybe that was why his marriage had failed? Just as his parents’ had.
It was why James refused to send his own children there.
They would know they were loved and wanted.
