“Come to see your old grandfather.”
“I managed to get away earlier than expected and thought I’d beat you at Chess.”
“Beat me? Me? Maria, tea forthwith so I can beat this young whipper-snapper.”
“Yes, Sir Matthew.”
“Has she gone?”
“Yes.”
“Good. So they’re back?”
“They are.”
“You need to be careful, James. They tried to kill me to take control of the project. To use the anomalies for their own gain.”
“That’s why I need to speak to you.”
“And read my records?”
“Anything you think would be helpful.”
