The summons from the Minister had been expected, ever since that debacle in the House of Common’s members’ bar. Dinosaur related, rather than some drunken idiot for once.
He could have done without the news about the public-private shenanigans and being told – if he wanted the role back – that he would have to answer to some entrepreneur who clearly had an angle, something he was after.
Still, Lester knew he would have made a deal with the devil himself if he could get his lost people back.
He just hoped he hadn’t made one when it came to Philip Burton.
