I couldn’t refuse company after the latest Helen-related incident, even if Ryan was here for my protection and… Now wasn’t the time to think of things I couldn’t have.
“Sir?”
I met his worried gaze before I found Ryan pressed tight against me, kissing me almost frantically.
When we finally parted, I was pleased to see Ryan looked as flustered as I felt. “I don’t believe that’s in the SAS manual, Captain.”
“No, sir. Although I find the most successful officers are those who are willing to improvise.”
I met Ryan’s cautious gaze. “By all means, Captain, continue to improvise.”
