A/N: For P100 prompt 887 – Anniversary. Idk. #26 in my Cry Wolf ‘verse. Lester’s a somewhat confused neo-Troodon in disguise.
Anniversaries were another weirdness that Lester didn’t understand about mammals.
Not that his own people didn’t have celebrations – Hatching Day when parents first met their child, a child’s first successful solo hunt, even the festivals when a new Queen ascended – but they were all one-off occasions.
He shuddered at the grating noise from the atrium. Why would mammals want to celebrate their hatching.. their birthdays once a year, every year with food, drink and bizarre presents? Clearly another example of their obsession with and enslavement to Time.
Even worse, he couldn’t even avoid this party as it was for him.
