He wakes in a cold sweat and shivers in the night, the screams of the children still echoing in his ears.
He knows there was nothing he could have done for them, but that didn't mean he'd given up on them.
He should have done more, much more and now he'd had the chance.
One day he'll figure out what he should have done differently.
One day he will make the correct choice to set it right and there won't be any screams.
One day soon and the nightmares will be all that is left of what shouldn't have happened.
