A/N: For P100 prompt 845: Rainy Season. Set in my Wolfverse.
I crouched in the undergrowth and scanned the area. The clearing might look deserted but it was open ground. I took a deep breath, my mouth slightly open as I allowed the air to cross my palate.
Nothing.
The near constant rain since I'd been dropped in the deep jungle served to dampen any smells and deafen my hearing.
I grinned, my secret advantage might be less useful here, but the men hunting me – some of the best – were equally hampered. Time to see whether I could evade them until... hmm, I'd heard San Ignacio was a place to visit.
