The world had ended seventeen days ago, not that the minister had believed Lester. Not then.
He’d convinced Becker to go for help nine days ago. That he’d have a better chance without an injured Lester slowing him down.
It had been three days since Becker’s last contact.
And Lester knew tonight would be his last night.
He counted the shells he had but there were still just half-a-dozen shotgun shells. And he knew there were far more Predators clawing to get inside and hunt him.
He flinched at a crash.
They were inside and his time had run out.
