Definition: A state/situation which is liable to erupt into anger/violence. Maybe a sideswipe.
Lorraine glanced up when Jenny entered and sat down with a heavy sigh. “Sir James or the tension-duo?”
“Both!” Jenny snapped before slumping into her chair. “Sorry. The tension is getting worse on Shouts. You can just feel the anger radiating off Nick whenever he’s near Stephen. I think we’re all waiting for the eruption when his anger boils over.
“Sir James?”
“Is doing nothing to stop it.”
“That wouldn’t entirely be truth, Ms Lewis.”
“Ja..”
“So… now we’re all on the same page, apart from getting them bonding over a mutual hatred of me, do you have any suggestions?”
