A/N: For P100 prompt 804: Unfortunate Coincidence. IDK. I hope this makes sense – after watching Doc Martin recently, it had to be another visit to Tea and Crackers..
“Ms Brown! Professor! What do you have to report? What misbegotten creatures are we dealing with?”
“Um...”
“Unusally reticent professor, maybe Ms Brown will be more forthcoming?”
“Fine, they're Kopidodon."
"Bloody squirrels!"
"James?"
“How...”
"Now it is a conspiracy."
"They could be reds..."
"Nick."
"Or grey reinforcements. Allies. Mercenaries."
"What would they be paid with?"
"Nuts!"
"Really James."
"They could be sabretooth killers!"
"They haven't got sabreteeth."
"That doesn't mean they are innocent."
"It is just a coincidence, James."
"Is it?"
"An unfortunate one, but a coincidence nonetheless. And Nick will make sure they all get repatriated back through the anomaly.”
“Aye, I will.”
“Make sure you do.”
