A/N: For P100 prompt 788: Sink or Swim. Set in my Under The Moonlight Wolfverse series. I’m being mean to James – well, his father is.
The dialling tone cut off James’ explanation. He took a deep breath, straightened and considered his options.
He could stay with Sam’s parents over the summer… Except James knew if his father found out he’d ‘gone begging’ for a place to stay…
No, if there was one thing his father had drummed into James, it was to stand on his own two feet without help.
Of course, he’d visit Sam but money… Thank fuck for the grant. Although he’d need a summer job.. and a part-time one during term. James knew he’d wouldn’t receive any further money from his father.
