A/N: For P100 prompt 765: Leftovers. Definition: something that remains unused or unconsumed. Somewhat of a sideswipe, idk.
Lester stood in the cave entrance, every sense straining to spot the creatures which had been hunting them. He turned at a scraping noise, an eyebrow rising as he watched Blade methodically sharpen a branch to a sharp point. He glanced at the rifle in his hands and sighed, remembering their escape through the anomaly. “How much ammunition do we have, Corporal?”
“Not enough, sir,” Blade informed him. “We’ll need to conserve what we have left.”
Lester nodded, turning to keep watch before looking back. “I was always better at archery, Blade. How are you at fletching?”
“Reasonable, sir.”
“Excellent.”
