A/N: For P100 prompt 764: It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas. From Fififolle’s idea and, well, idk. The muse is not cooperating. For Primeval Denial’s James Lester/Stephen Hart month.


“Fuck!”

James almost smudged the red nose on the reindeer he was icing when he dropped everything and dashed towards that cry of pain. “Stephen!” He found his lover sucking his thumb and looking contrite as their neighbour berated him for swearing.

“I’m sure Stephen’s very sorry, Ms Cooke,” James said. “Come in for a glass of sherry.”


“Hmm.” Ms Cooke picked up and shook the somewhat bedraggled wreath gentle.“At least the outside is beginning to look Christmassy. Have you got your tree up yet?”

“That’s next, once I’ve finished icing the cookies.”


“Cookies... I’d love one with my sherry.”
