It was abominable enough to be stuck on the wrong side of an anomaly due to the minister, it was infinitesimally worse when the idiot was with me. The minister seemed incapable of remaining quiet even when his, and more importantly my, life was at risk.

I considered using the opportunity to leave him here and remove him from my life permanently, but I refrained from that temptation. Not only was there a slim chance he’d make it home, but I had no idea what fuckwit would replace him.

Still, the minister was lucky the anomaly re-opened when it did.

Loved Lester's mental gymnastics.
