A/N: For P100 prompt 751: Fall of Civilisations. Number 38 of Ice Age drabble series and follows on from Lost.
I kept an eye on Helen as she continued to circle me impatiently, suppressing a shiver when she reminded me of a predator circling it’s prey. Wanting to distract myself and her, I asked, “Now would be the perfect opportunity for you to explain your plans. Where the hell are we going, Helen, and which of your mistakes are we going to fix?”
Helen smiled sweetly. “Oh my dear James, we’re going to save the world by preventing the fall of civilizations.”
“Oh?” I cursed silently for revealing my interest to Helen. “And how are you planning on doing that?”
