A/N: For P100 prompt 746: Lost. Set in my Cry Wolf series and probably follows Fast Food.
Helen lay on her lumpy mattress and spat the pills into her hand. Oh, Lester and his neo-Troodon allies might think she’d lost, but she hadn’t survived eight years in the past by giving up. No, she’d bide her time, waiting for them to grow complacent and then she’d wait a bit longer. It wouldn’t help humanity if Helen ran into another of their traps.
The question was, what to do when she escaped? She couldn’t go to Nick or anyone connected with the anomaly project. She also couldn’t just abandon humanity to the claws and teeth of the neo-Troodons.
