“What are your plans?” Helen enquired, partly in scientific curiosity; although any information might be useful in stopping whatever the neo-Troodons’ wanted with humanity.
“Why would I tell you?”
Helen wondered, once again, if Lester could raise an eyebrow in his natural form. “It isn’t as if I can escape,” she pointed out. When Lester remained silent, she continued, “What are we to you? Cattle?”
“We don’t keep domestic food animals.”
Helen nodded. “So, prey.”
Lester looked as if he’d smelt something disgusting. “No, most humans would be… like fast food.”
“What?”
“Far too full of additives to be healthy.”
