Title: Running A Tight Ship
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: James Lester
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For P100 prompt 676: Discipline. Follows on from Waiting For The Surprise (and as this is #12, the series probably needs a name).

The ward ran to almost military precision in Lester’s considered opinion. Uniforms were spotless and properly pressed, shoes shiny enough to see your reflection. The bed made with hospital corners, the lockers neat and tidy.

The matron ran a tight ship and Lester knew he would have approved under any other circumstances. He might even have tried to recruit her.

But when all he wanted was to get out of bed, to exercise and build his strength, ready to face whatever chaos and disaster Helen’s plotting would bring…

He just wished she wasn’t quite such a stickler for the rules.

Ops, no wonder Lester isn't happy *g*
But 'spotless uniforms'? 'Shiny shoes'?? Where is he exactly? I'm starting to get suspicious \0/
