A/N: For P100 prompt 624: Easter. Set in the same ‘verse as Smokescreen and a continuation of Secrets And Lies. Possibly a bit of a side swipe… but Easter is mentioned ;)
I was fuming, the public humiliation at the ARC had been horrible, but the private dressing down from the minister had been worse. It would take me months to get back in his graces.
I knew I’d agreed to the plan, and James really was perfect as the ARC Director, but that didn’t mean he didn’t owe me.
I smiled at the handmade Easter egg on the table, it was an excellent start. The label attached was extremely promising… not that I was going to let James off that easily. No, he’d be making it up to me for months.
