A/N: For P100 prompt 612: The Police. Part of my Wolfverse series and follows on from Lester’s Social Media Nightmare.
Shadow wasn’t happy, not that anyone would realise with his years of disguising his true feelings. He glanced at the other nominees, from the cat which woke her owner in a fire to the police dog stabbed saving his handler.
“He’s huge.”
“Caucasian Mountain dog,” Nick replied, holding his hand out, “Nick Cutter.”
The man’s eyes widened. “That bloody kiddie fiddler”
“How?” Nick stuttered as Shadow’s ears flickered back.
“Word gets around. I’m PC Teddy Haywood.” He nodded to the police dog. “That’s Sabre.”
Nick smiled. “This is Shadow.”
Haywood glanced around before offering Shadow a chocolate drop. “Good boy."
