Emily had always thought James Lester could have been born in the Victorian Age, what with his perfect manners and solid mores. Maybe that was why she’d fallen for him? He was something familiar in this strange new world she found herself in.
It confused her, for she’d done her best to escape that world when she’d first stepped through the portal. She wondered if she’d really changed from the woman cowered by her husband and society?
At least she had wondered until James surprised her by whisking her away for a… she believed it was called ‘a dirty weekend’.
