A/N: For P100 prompt 582: At the Beach. Set in my Wolfverse series and for AU month of 12 Months of Primeval.


I breathed in the sea air, spared a quick glance at Nick, and then flung myself across the beach. Sand flew beneath my paws as I raced this way and that, feeling all the tension from a difficult week at the ARC drain from my body.

I finally slowed, panting for breath, and turned to rejoin my waiting lover. A lupine grin grew on my face when I spotted the ice-cream he held out for me. As a human I would never have given in, but... well, as the wolf I was quite happy to indulge myself slurping the ice-cream.

Glad you liked it, although Lester's muttering about the sweet comment.

Shadow can get away with a lot of things Lester wouldn't even consider, so good to know that comes across.
