Primeval Drabble: The Winter Sun

Title: The Winter Sun
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: James Lester, Nick Cutter, (Team).
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For P100 prompt 564: Winter Sun. A somewhat side-swipe of the prompt.

Nick entered the conference room, frowning when he noticed the image being displayed. “Why are we looking at a boat?”

“It's a luxury yacht, Cutter,” Lester drawled, adding, “So good of you to join us.”

“I was busy.”

“Hmm. As I was saying, the 'Winter Sun' was found abandoned and drifting last night.”

“How does that concern us?”

“Because they found an anomalous result when they tested the copious amount of blood within the cabin.” Lester paused, making sure everyone was paying attention before he continued, “Bat DNA in such quantities that it could not be natural... Well, chop, chop.”

Very interesting. (BTW, this reminds me of Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant. Awesome)
