A/N: For P100 prompt 540: Ready, Aim, Fire. Also for 52 Weeks of Primeval: Soldiers.
Finn was the last up, grinning at his overconfident opponent, all because Finn hadn't got a joke earlier.
“OK, gents,” Ryan. “When I tell you, strip and reassemble your weapon, ready it, aim at the target and fire in your own time. Quickest and most accurate wins the pot.”
Finn ignored his opponent as he concentrated on his task, each move flowing into the next and then his rifle was in his hands. He breathed deeply, calming himself as he sighted on the bullseye. He pulled the trigger, smiling as he heard the other man swear when Finn hit dead-centre.
