A/N: For P100 prompt 527: Future predators. Also for 52 Weeks of Primeval – Stephen week and Future Predators week. Thanks go to Fred for casting her eye over it for me.
Stephen backed away from the Future Predators. He knew he was only delaying the inevitable but his survival instinct demanded he looked for a way out, even if this situation was his own fault.
When his back hit the wall and he had no where left to run, Stephen took a deep breath and looked death in the eye. He thought he should be scared, but he felt calm, knowing he had saved Nick.
The explosion and gunfire half-deafened him before he was punched in the nose and then kissed hard. Nick's “You daft bugger” was music to his ears.
