Title: Self-Blame
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: Tom Ryan, Connor Temple
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For the P100 challenge 466: Binge. Thanks go to Fred for casting her eye over it for me.
Ryan frowned when he heard a faint noise, his hand on his pistol as he tracked it to a darkened lab. He paused when he found Connor; the young man had looked up at his entry, rubbing at his tear-stained cheeks.
“Con?”
“It's all my fault.” Connor's voice was raspy. “Last weekend. We were supposed to have a Gerry Anderson marathon but I...” He shook his head. “I was too busy and I made them curious. Tom would still be alive but for me.”
“That's not true, Con.” Ryan could only hope Connor believed him. They – he – couldn't lose him.
