A/N: For the P100 challenge 458: The Emergency Services and my Primeval Bingo Card (round 8) prompt: Episode 1.6: Return to the Forest of Dean (5/25). Thanks go to Fred for casting her eyes over it for me.
Lester stared at the anomaly.
He knew he couldn't trust Helen Cutter but... what choice had he had? Although he'd commented on Ms Brown's professionalism, he couldn't blame her for kissing Cutter, he'd felt the same sense of foreboding and shared a much more discreet kiss himself.
The commotion at the anomaly had him frozen for a heartbeat when Cutter had dragged a bloodied Ryan through. He'd quickly shaken off his shock, bellowed for an ambulance and dropped to his knees beside his lover before anyone else reacted.
His hand gripped Ryan's firmly as he murmured, “Stay with me, Tom.”
