Lester huffed as he brushed dust from his jacket, an expression of distaste on his face before he glanced around at the little that remained of New Dawn. “Well, that just goes to prove the Climate Change mob are wrong.”

Matt drew back from Becker, turning towards Lester with a frown. “James?”

“Burton tried to produce pollution-free energy and it backfired on him. Instead of saving the world he almost destroyed it.” Lester shook his head. “At least you know where you stand with good old fashioned coal.”

“And it is destroying the world slowly.”

“Maybe, but we have time.”

It makes sense that Lester would have that point of view. But death by coal would probably be preferable to death by a super anomaly. Nice.

Very nice use of the prompt. James can be forgiven his fondness for fossil fuels in the circumstances!
