Lester limped towards his gathered team and stared at the damned anomaly, still swirling ominously and far too publicly for his peace of mind. “You do have a plan B?” He sighed at the look on Matt's face. “Just for once....”

“I have one, but...”

Lester quirked an eyebrow. “But I won't like it...” His gaze followed Matt's to Becker. “Ah.”

“It's our only option, James.”

“Are you sure?” Lester knew how much losing the one you loved hurt.

Matt nodded. “This is the beginning of the end. A heat wave that never ends, riots and chaos and then... them.”
