This is such a lovely piece! I love the revelation that Lester is a widow (We never actually hear him say that he's divorced, so you never know) and dating Jenny. I also got a kick out of learning that he can pick locks and needs direction when it comes to making tea. *g*
It's great to see Jenny and Lester confronting Nick about his depression and extending some understanding and compassion. It would be nice to think that a friendship might develop among all three of them.
