Connor glanced at New Dawn, knowing he had only one way to stop it now and... he just hoped James understood.

He ignored the cries of the others as he clambered onto the machinery and held on tightly as he reached for the wires. If he could just swap them over then...

James' world moved off-kilter with Abby's words and he felt her hand on his arm, looking at him with such compassion that he knew his façade had slipped.

Not that he cared if he'd shown his vulnerability to the world, only Connor mattered.

He turned to the anomaly.
