Whoa! I was wondering where you were heading with this when you introduced Christine into the picture, but I wasn't expecting her to discover Lester's big secret! That's so cool! I mean, I'm afraid for Lester, but this makes a fabulous (if frustrating) cliffhanger! BTW I really enjoyed your interpretation of what could have been going through Lester's head during that conversation with Christine. It's also interesting that they have a past together. They never made it clear in canon what their past relationship was: whether it was purely professional or something more.
