James had spent time worshipping every inch of Connor before taking him to bliss. All the time, one thought ran through his mind – why would Connor turn down those offers to stay with him? James knew he'd hurt Connor with his lies and what did he truly have to offer him? He was middle-aged, snarky and had a blood-sucking ex-wife.
A soft kiss pressed against his shoulder, before Connor asked sleepily, “What's wrong, James?”
James sighed, but he'd vowed to tell Connor the truth, as much as he could. “I don't understand how you'd give up your dreams for me.”
