A/N: For the P100 challenge 317: Gluttony. Part of my Making An Impression drabble series and follows on from Black And Blue. Um, sorry, but it is angsty again. Thanks go to Fred for looking it over and advice.
James had dark circles beneath his eyes and his hands shook from exhaustion but he refused to rest. Not even Ditzy's threats of thermometers could prise James from his office or Connor's bedside.
Matt recalled Becker's comment about James being a glutton for punishment. Maybe this... self-destructive behaviour was what Becker had meant? Not that definitions mattered, what did was stopping James' spiral of despair and as team leader Matt knew it was his responsibility.
He stepped into James' office. “Turn that off and get some rest.” When James shook his head, Matt added, “Exhausting yourself won't help Connor, James.”
