Primeval drabble: Improvisation

A/N: For the P100 challenge 304: Make Do And Mend. Part of my Making An Impression drabble series and follows As If The Situation Wasn't Bad Enough Already. Thanks go to the ever wonderful Fred for casting her eye over it for me, cheers m'dear.



When a second scream came from the operating theatre, Matt turned and pelted back down the corridor towards it. He cursed the fact he'd left his EMD in the car, even though he could hardly have brought it into the hospital. He also cursed his colleagues for rushing off heedlessly into danger, especially James, who would normally rip someone a new one for such a reckless action.

Matt tried to spot anything he could use as a weapon and he grinned slightly when he spotted a fire extinguisher. Not the best option but certainly better than anything else he'd seen.

Oh, now, I don't know. It seems to me that fire extinguishers have been used with good results on Primeval. lol Good choice, Matt. Oh, and I'm gonna forgive Lester cuz I'm pretty sure he's in the operating room to protect Connor. You iz very good, Darlin'

He's taking a page out of Danny's book, looks like! I love the bit about James, who as Matt says, I'm sure is the first person to yell about recklessness and might be doing it himself anyway! Though I suspect it still wouldn't make him stop yelling in future. *g*

I'm glad he found something he could use. It's no EMD but Matt might be grateful for it. I liked his observations about James rushing into danger.
