Title: Out Of The Fire...
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: James Lester, OWC, unknown
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For the P100 challenge 290: Rain. Part of my Dreams Of Yesterday drabble series and continues from Move Or Die. Thanks go to Fred for casting her eye over it for me, cheers m'dear.
When James woke, he was comfortable and could feel the small, warm furry form of the cub curled tight against him. As he drifted towards sleep once more, lulled by the pitter-patter of rain and the muted sound of voices, he suddenly remembered what had happened.
Where was he? How had he escaped the apocalyptic disaster and, more importantly, had Abby?
James tried to move, crying out as pain radiated through his body. A gentle hand stroked through his hair and a voice he thought he recognised spoke words he couldn't make sense of before he lost consciousness once more.
